Schwader Tax Service was founded in 1999 by Enrolled Agent Dani Schwader. She has over 24 years’ experience in tax planning and preparation with special interest in farm issues and legacy planning. You will hear her repeatedly say two favorite phrases: “Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered,” and “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Ms. Schwader is a native of Madison, SD, where she attended high school and admits to having “absolutely no athletic skills” but always had her nose in a book. Upon graduation, she attended Northern State University, still with her nose in a book, and graduated with a business degree in 1988.
Ms. Schwader personally prepares every return, which numbers over 500 annually. In addition to the time spent in the office, she attends professional education events across the nation to keep up with changing laws and how they affect her clients.
To keep her sanity, she is an avid- make that rabid- fan of the Minnesota Vikings. She also tries to micromanage and otherwise ruin the lives of her three sons, aged 20 to 15.
“My philosophy is simple. I want every person who walks through my door to feel welcome and valued. I want them to pay the tax that they owe, not a dime more, nor a dime less. I want them to understand their tax return before they sign it. I want them to understand what they could do differently in the future to save tax dollars. And I want them to leave my office with a smile on their face after having a laugh or two during their tax appointment. It shouldn’t all be painful!”
